I'm married to a yogi, named Alexandra (doalltheyoga). I'm a full time college student, looking for encouragement and motivation to get fit and lose weight.
so its 11 at night and I just went for a run because I got some motivation from my other/better half =P I also ran on monday but it took me 20 minutes to run 2 miles then and tonight it took 16 minutes tonight so I am improving! I would like to get it in the 12-14 range so we will see! I am really going to try to use this blog thing like a journal so I can stay motivated! anyhow, goodnight everyone =)
So I am on lunch at work texting my honey, but I thought I would post about why I am starting this blog in more detail, or try to. So to start off I’ll go back to when I was around 12. For some reason I started gaining weight but didn’t really think anything of it up till I was around 14 and decided to lose weight. At this point I was up to 212 pounds. I never exercised and ate a ton. So I started eating healthy and exercising, mainly jumping on the trampoline and running. And by the time I was 16 I had lost 42 lbs. I felt great and exercised regularly. but it seems like after that I just gave up and went from 170 to around 190 by the time i was 17. And now that puts us where I am now. fluctuating between 180 and 190 with no exercise except walking with my baby a few times a week. Undfortunately it is going to take some real cardio to start this thing off. I want to run in the mornings and do abs and arms in the evenings with breaks a couple times a week. I just feel like I have no energy at work and i think that running in the mornings would greatly help that. so I am really going to try this and I guess i need to start ASAP.. like tomorrow? Idk I will see.. but for sure this week.. if anyone has any advice let me know, Thanks!
I feel like a dork for blogging, but I’ll give this a go because my wife wants me to and I love her so that’s my reason xP < (that is my smiley so don’t make fun of it) And I want to blog because I want to lose weight. I am currently staying around 183-186 lbs. and I am like 5’-10.5”. I don’t have a eating disorder or any of that stuff but I do try to help my wife with hers everyday. I am doing this for us both. I want to be fit and healthy. I think I am aiming toward around 160, but we will see once I start working out and all that. I need to come up with a plan and I will post a before picture soon so I know where I am starting. I am not sure what to say to my “followers” but thanks for following me or something to that effect xP and thank you to my lovely wife who “promoted” me as she put it. I am not in on all this lingo but I’ll do my best.
